This week’s reading from Jeremiah comes after the Israelites were exiled to Babylon. There were plenty of false profits telling the people they’d only be there for a year or two, and the Israelites were trying to stand apart even in their captivity. But Jeremiah told them they were going to be there for 70 years, and advised them to integrate themselves in Babylonian society. There are times when we find ourselves in places we don’t expect, and sometimes places we don’t want to be. But wherever we are, and however we got there, God has work for us to do. And God’s promise of redemption never fails.

It's impossible to truly love God without also loving each other. They go hand in hand; one cannot exist fully without the other. #loveGod #loveeachother #faith #reconcile #responsibility
